Role Description This is a full time, on-site Surveyor role based in Namchi, focused on transmission line projects in hilly terrain. The Surveyor will conduct detailed topographical surveys, route alignment studies, and profiling for transmission lines, ensuring accurate data collection and documentation.

Responsibilities include using surveying instruments and GPS tools, preparing survey drawings, coordinating with engineering and construction teams, and verifying site conditions against design plans. The role involves marking tower locations, assessing right-of-way constraints, and supporting feasibility and optimization of transmission line routes in complex geographical conditions.



The Surveyor will also maintain survey records, support compliance with safety and quality standards, and provide regular progress updates to project management.

Qualifications

- Strong surveying expertise with experience in transmission line projects, preferably in hilly or challenging terrain.
- Proficiency Experience in benching, copying or kanpuring, mapping and prop setting.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and prepare survey maps, profiles, and alignment plans using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD 2D and 3D Expert).
- Knowledge of power transmission standards, right-of-way considerations, and basic civil/structural concepts related to transmission line construction.
- Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills for route optimization and site assessment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, construction, and project management teams on-site.
- Physical fitness and willingness to work in hilly, remote, and outdoor environments while adhering to safety protocols.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field; relevant field experience will be highly valued.
- Familiarity with industry safety practices and quality standards for infrastructure and transmission line projects.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records for survey activities and project audits.
