RFP & Market Research Analyst

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Remote

Work Hours: Must have consistent overlap with US Eastern Time business hours

About the Role

As an RFP & Market Research Analyst, you will identify high-value RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, analyze complex solicitation packages, research competitors and previous contract awards, and support the development of compelling proposal responses.

Procurement packages can span hundreds of pages across multiple documents, including the base RFP, addenda, Q&A;, pricing templates, security questionnaires, and contract terms.

You will be responsible for reading and understanding these materials in detail, extracting what matters, and translating complex requirements into transparent, actionable information for the broader team.

You will work closely with the RFP Team, including the Business Intelligence Manager and Marketing Manager, and collaborate as needed with the Chief Revenue Officer, Director of Product Security & Development, and Finance Team Lead.

Key ResponsibilitiesRFP & Procurement Research

- Monitor procurement portals, government websites, and bid aggregators to identify relevant RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Evaluate opportunities and provide go/no-go recommendations based on requirements, fit, competition, timelines, and business potential.
- Maintain an accurate opportunity tracker with key dates, scope, requirements, and submission milestones.

Requirements & Compliance Analysis

- Read and analyze complete solicitation packages, including RFPs, addenda, Q&A; documents, pricing templates, security questionnaires, and contract terms.
- Develop detailed compliance matrices mapping requirements, evaluation criteria, submission instructions, forms, and supporting documentation.
- Identify mandatory requirements, potential gaps, risks, dependencies, and critical deadlines.
- Translate legal,



compliance, procurement, and technical terminology into clear business implications for internal stakeholders.
- Draft clarification questions for procurement teams when requirements are unclear or ambiguous.

Market & Competitive Research

- Research previously awarded contracts and comparable procurement opportunities.
- Identify winning vendors, proposed solutions, contract values/pricing where publicly available, and key differentiators.
- Analyze competitor offerings and identify insights that can strengthen our proposals.
- Track relevant market, procurement, and industry trends.

Proposal Development

- Prepare first-pass proposal responses using our existing content library and approved materials.
- Coordinate inputs from Product, Security, Finance, Sales, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure responses accurately address customer requirements and align with evaluation criteria.
- Maintain and continuously improve the proposal response content library.

Submission Management

- Own the proposal submission calendar, checklist, and documentation workflow.
- Track deliverables and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct final quality and compliance checks before submission.
- Ensure all required forms, attachments, pricing documents, and supporting materials are included and properly packaged.
- Capture lessons learned from both successful and unsuccessful bids to improve future proposals.

Required Qualifications





- Excellent English proficiency (C1/C2) in both written and spoken English. This is essential, as you will work with dense legal and technical documents and prepare responses evaluated by US public-sector buyers.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in research, procurement, proposal support, RFP/tender management, paralegal work, or research-intensive marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and dissect long, complex, multi-document requirement packages and convert them into accurate, structured summaries.
- Working knowledge of legal, compliance, business, procurement, and industry terminology, or the ability to learn these concepts quickly.
- Advanced familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms, including strong prompting skills and the ability to independently verify AI-generated outputs against source documents.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; intermediate proficiency is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong deadline management and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Self-directed, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience responding to US federal, state, local government, or higher-education solicitations.
- Experience with RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, tenders, bids, proposals, or government procurement.
- Exposure to identity verification, KYC/AML, EdTech, GovTech, financial services, or compliance.
- Familiarity with frameworks and regulations such as:
- SOC 2
- ISO 27001
- NIST 800-63
- FERPA
- GDPR
- HIPAA
- Understanding of how these standards and regulations commonly appear in buyer requirements and vendor questionnaires.
