FloData Analytics builds enterprise-grade software that powers real-world business operations. Our Fulfillment Platform handles order processing, warehouse operations, inventory management, carrier integrations and billing reconciliation. We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to enhance our production platform and build its next-generation architecture. You will own backend features end-to-end, from database design and API development to deployment and production support.

About the Role

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python and Flask. You will build end-to-end features across order management, warehouse operations, inventory, billing and customer portals.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python and Flask.
- Build end-to-end features across order management, warehouse operations, inventory, billing and customer portals.
- Design and optimize MySQL schemas, queries, stored procedures, indexing and migrations while ensuring data integrity.
- Integrate third-party platforms - logistics providers, shipping carriers, accounting systems and marketplace APIs - using OAuth and API keys; troubleshoot API, webhook and sync failures.
- Build scheduled jobs, asynchronous workflows and automation for inventory sync,



billing reconciliation, reporting and order processing.
- Investigate production issues across applications, APIs, databases and infrastructure; perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions, and deploy/maintain applications on AWS.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

- 4-6 years hands-on backend development in Python with robust Flask expertise.
- Advanced MySQL: SQL optimization, indexing, transactions, performance tuning.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs; strong understanding of SQLAlchemy and MySQL drivers.
- Docker and containerized application development.
- Proficiency with Git (branching, rebasing, merge conflict resolution, PR workflows) and CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
- Experience on large-scale production applications.
- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS (ECS, EC2, ECR, S3, CloudWatch), Redis, Nginx, Pandas/NumPy.
- ReportLab, OpenPyXL, Google Sheets API; SonarQube, PyTest/UnitTest.
- Logistics, warehouse management, fulfillment or e-commerce platform experience.
- ShipStation, QuickBooks, carrier integrations or inventory management systems.
