Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise the Previs Department and its artists.

- Study scripts, storyboards and creative briefs and translate them into effective 3D sequences.

- Create and supervise animation and blocking in Maya.

- Develop camera compositions, camera movements, lens choices and shot staging.

- Take sequences into Unreal Engine for real-time visualization.

- Oversee lighting, environments, materials and overall visual presentation in Unreal.

- Work closely with artists to refine animation, cameras, lighting and visual quality.

- Review shots and sequences and provide clear creative and technical feedback.

- Maintain visual continuity and quality across complete sequences.

- Collaborate closely with the Director, Creative Director, VFX Supervisor, Production Designer and other creative leads.

- Participate in creative reviews and incorporate feedback from directors and stakeholders.

- Ensure the final previs communicates the intended action, camera language, scale, staging and visual direction clearly.

- Take ownership of the sequence from storyboard through to final previs output.

- Manage the team's priorities and ensure previs deliverables are completed within production schedules.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5 years of professional experience in Previs, Animation or VFX.

- Robust hands-on knowledge of Autodesk Maya, particularly animation, layout and cameras.





- Strong working knowledge of Unreal Engine.

- Good understanding of cinematography, composition, lenses, camera language and visual storytelling.

- Ability to translate 2D storyboards into clear and effective 3D sequences.

- Strong understanding of animation principles and staging.

- Good eye for lighting, composition and visual presentation.

- Experience leading, mentoring and reviewing artists.

- Solid communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work directly with directors and creative heads and interpret creative feedback.

- Ability to balance creative requirements with technical and production constraints.
