Role Overview

We are looking for a Manual & Automation Test Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in software testing, UI testing, API testing, database validation, and test automation.

The selected candidate will work across multiple software projects, including web applications, financial/trading-related applications, and AI-based products and features.

The role requires someone who can work independently across different projects, understand business requirements, design effective test scenarios, build automation coverage, identify edge cases, and collaborate closely with developers and product teams.

The candidate will be involved in both manual and automated testing, while also supporting testing and validation activities for AI-related development projects.

Responsibilities

Manual & Functional Testing

- Perform manual, functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and UI testing.
- Analyze requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case testing.
- Validate complete end-to-end business workflows.
- Perform release and regression testing.
- Identify, report, track, and verify defects.

UI & Automation Testing
- Perform detailed web UI and usability testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Use Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
- Automate critical regression and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Perform cross-browser and responsive UI testing.
- Analyze automation failures and identify whether the issue is related to the application, test script, or environment.
- Maintain automation scripts as applications evolve.

API & Database Testing
- Perform REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Validate API requests, responses, status codes, authentication, error handling, and business logic.




- Perform database validation using SQL.
- Verify consistency between UI, APIs, and database records.
- Work with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

AI Project Testing & Validation
- Support testing activities for AI-powered applications and features.
- Validate AI-generated outputs against expected business requirements.
- Design test scenarios for different inputs, edge cases, invalid inputs, and unexpected responses.
- Identify incorrect, inconsistent, incomplete, or unexpected AI outputs.
- Perform API and integration testing for AI services.
- Validate data and workflows used by AI-powered features where applicable.
- Automate repetitive AI testing and validation activities.
- Work closely with AI developers during development and debugging.

Financial / Trading Domain Testing — Preferred

Experience or knowledge of financial markets, algorithmic trading, or trading applications will be an advantage.

Required Skills
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Software Testing / QA.
- Strong experience in Manual and UI Testing.
- Practical experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.




- Good programming/scripting knowledge in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
- Good understanding of REST API testing.
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of:

o Functional Testing o Regression Testing o Integration Testing o End-to-End Testing o Exploratory Testing o Boundary & Negative Testing o Defect Life Cycle o Test Case Design
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage testing activities across multiple projects.

Preferred Skills
- Experience testing FinTech, Trading, SaaS, or AI-based applications.
- Knowledge of technical indicators such as RSI, MACD, EMA/SMA, Bollinger Bands, Supertrend, VWAP, and ATR.
- Experience with Postman/Newman or similar API automation tools.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
- Knowledge of performance testing is a plus.
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts is a plus.
- Experience with asynchronous systems, real-time data, or WebSocket-based applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of SVN, Git, or other version-control systems.

Ideal Candidate

Pay: ₹323,694.56 - ₹404,497.20 per year
