Job Summary

We are looking for a UX/UI Lead to become the day-to-day design owner for Shoonya’s product experiences. The role will act as the bridge between Product, Design and Development, converting product requirements into scalable UX solutions and ensuring high-quality execution.

The UX/UI Lead will own product UX execution while enabling the Design Head to focus on overall design strategy and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Product UX Ownership

 Own UX/UI execution for assigned Shoonya product areas.

 Translate product requirements into user flows, journeys, wireframes, prototypes and high-

fidelity UI.

 Lead complex features from discovery → UX → UI → prototype → developer handoff.

 Design mobile, web and desktop experiences for trading and investment journeys.

 Design complete product states including empty, loading, success, error,



confirmation, alerts and edge cases.

Design Quality & Design System

 Conduct design reviews and review Figma files before stakeholder/developer handoff.

 Ensure consistency with the Shoonya Design System.

 Improve and contribute reusable components and design patterns.

 Ensure high visual, interaction and usability standards across assigned journeys.

 Support responsive design and accessibility requirements.

Product & Developer Collaboration

 Work closely with Product Managers, BAs, Developers, QA, Compliance and Business teams.

 Ensure accurate implementation of designs through developer collaboration and design reviews.

 Track design tasks and delivery through Jira.

UX Research & Intelligence

 Support UX research, usability testing, competitor benchmarking and analytics-driven improvements.

 Analyse user feedback and behavioural data to identify friction and improvement opportunities.

Interaction & Motion

 Create interactive prototypes and support micro-interactions.

 Use Rive to create interactive animations and motion experiences for trading products.

 Collaborate with designers/developers to ensure motion assets are practical and performant.

Team & Design Leadership





 Mentor Senior/Junior Designers and conduct regular design reviews.

 Support the Design Head in maintaining design quality, standards and delivery.

Skills & Tools

UX/UI & Product Design

 Strong expertise in UX Design, UI Design, Interaction Design and Product Design.

 User flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI.

 Strong understanding of complex trading/investment journeys.

Design Tools

 Figma – Advanced / Mandatory

 FigJam / equivalent collaboration tools.

 Rive – preferred

 Exposure to Lottie / After Effects / motion design is an advantage.

Analytics & Research

 Experience with Mixpanel or similar analytics tools.

 Usability testing, user feedback, competitor research and behavioural analysis.

 Understanding of A/B testing and data-backed UX improvement.

AI-Assisted UX

 Familiarity with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Figma AI or similar tools.

 Ability to use AI to improve design speed, coverage and decision-making.

Experience & Qualifications

 8-12 years of experience in UX/UI or Product Design.

 Product design experience preferred.

 Experience designing mobile/web/desktop digital products.

 Fintech, trading, banking, investment or other complex financial-product experience will be highly preferred.

 Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design ownership.

 Proven experience collaborating with developers and product teams.
