Role Description The Fiber Technician will be responsible for installing, splicing, terminating, and maintaining fiber optic cables and related network infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include performing site surveys, routing and securing cabling, conducting tests and inspections, and troubleshooting connectivity issues to ensure optimal network performance. The role involves working with tools and equipment for fiber preparation, fusion splicing, and signal testing, while following safety standards and documentation procedures.

The Fiber

Technician will collaborate with network engineers, project managers,



and field teams to complete installations and repairs within defined timelines and quality standards. This is a full-time, in office role based in Noida.

Qualifications

- Ability to work with network cables and cabling systems, including handling, routing, and organizing Cables and Cabling effectively.

- Knowledge of fiber technologies, including Fibre handling, fiber optic splicing, and basic Optics principles relevant to signal transmission.

- Competence in Troubleshooting fiber and connectivity issues, using testing tools and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve faults.

- Understanding of safety practices and standards related to field work, including working at heights or in confined spaces when required.

- Experience with reading technical drawings, network layouts, and documentation for installation and maintenance activities.

- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a field team.

- Prior experience as a Fiber Technician or in telecom/network installation is preferred; relevant technical certification or diploma in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field is beneficial.

- Willingness to work on-site in Noida with flexibility for field assignments and occasional extended hours based on project needs.
