Company Description Academy for Creative Teaching (ACT) is a specialized institution for teacher training and educational consultancy established in 2005 in India. ACT brings together experienced academicians and academic administrators to support schools through pre-service and in-service teacher training at all levels. The organization provides institution-building support, from shaping vision and strategy to offering academic and administrative guidance, along with quality audits for schools and educational organizations.

ACT has led leadership training programs for school leaders across CBSE and ICSE schools, driven curriculum development, and implemented its Creative Teaching Model, a holistic framework for innovative classroom practice. Its vision is to nurture creative teachers and empowered students as change agents, and it has been instrumental in promoting more than 100 schools in India and abroad.

Role Description The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for ACT’s teacher training, curriculum development, and educational consultancy initiatives. This full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru involves setting organizational priorities, managing programs, and ensuring alignment with ACT’s vision of creative teaching and leadership in education.

Director will oversee academic and administrative teams, build and maintain partnerships with schools and education boards, and guide the design and delivery of training and leadership programs.





Responsibilities include budgeting and resource allocation, monitoring program quality and impact, and driving continuous improvement through data-informed decisions. The role also involves representing ACT at conferences and stakeholder forums, promoting its Creative Teaching Model, and supporting the expansion of ACT’s reach across India and internationally.

Qualifications

- Proven leadership and management skills, including strategic planning, team leadership, and organizational development.
- Strong background in education, teacher training, curriculum design, or academic administration, preferably within school or educational consultancy settings.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with school leaders, educators, and external partners.
- Experience in program design and evaluation, quality assurance, and implementation of innovative teaching or learning models.
- Ability to manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and oversee multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Master’s degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to creative teaching practices, learner-centered approaches, and capacity-building for educators.
- Familiarity with CBSE, ICSE, and other school systems in India; experience working with schools in Karnataka and across India is an advantage.
