Role Description Responsible for operation and monitoring of Water Treatment Plant, DM Plant, RO/CPU and associated water-treatment systems.

Monitor and control raw water, clarified water, filtered water, DM water, boiler/feedwater and cooling-water chemistry parameters.

Conduct routine laboratory analysis including pH, conductivity, turbidity, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, chloride, silica, iron, phosphate and dissolved oxygen.

Monitor and optimize chemical dosing systems including PAC/coagulants, H₂SO₄, NaOH, chlorine/hypochlorite and other treatment chemicals.

Perform chemical preparation, dosing calculations, regeneration, backwashing, flushing and troubleshooting of treatment systems.

Monitor cooling-tower chemistry, blowdown, cycles of concentration and chemical dosing.

Maintain water-quality records, laboratory reports,



operating logs and shift-wise reports.

Identify process abnormalities and coordinate with Operations, C&I; and Maintenance teams for timely corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with SOPs, operational requirements, chemical-handling procedures and plant safety standards.

Support process optimization, chemical-consumption reduction and improvement of treated-water quality.

Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge of power plant operations, thermal power generation processes, and basic electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience in monitoring plant performance, analyzing operational data, and supporting maintenance planning and execution.
- Understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality management practices in the power sector.
- Proficiency in using standard office and plant-related software (e.g., MS Office, reporting tools; exposure to SCADA/DCS systems is beneficial).
- Effective leadership and people management abilities, with skills in team coordination, supervision, and performance monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root-cause analysis and recommend practical solutions.
- Clear and qualified communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Power, or related discipline); a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in power generation, utilities, or heavy industry operations is preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Singrauli and adapt to plant schedules and operational requirements.
