Role Description The Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D Administrator is a part-time, on-site role based in Guwahati. The administrator is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing AutoCAD Plant 3D environments, including project setup, templates, standards, and libraries. Day-to-day tasks include managing user access and permissions, troubleshooting software and project-related issues, coordinating with design and engineering teams, and ensuring data integrity and backup procedures.

The role also involves implementing best practices for 3D modeling workflows, supporting project teams with training and guidance,



and collaborating with IT or CAD management to ensure system performance and compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D, including project setup, configuration of standards, and management of drawing and model libraries.
- Experience with CAD administration, such as user management, permissions, version control, and data backup procedures.
- Knowledge of process plant design workflows, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;), and 3D modeling practices in an engineering setting.
- Ability to troubleshoot software and project issues, coordinate with IT or vendors, and implement updates or patches as needed.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to support design and engineering teams and provide user training or technical guidance.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects or tasks in a part-time capacity.
- Diploma or degree in engineering, drafting, or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience with Plant 3D may also be considered.
- Prior experience in a multidisciplinary engineering firm or process industry projects is an advantage.
