English Communication & Soft Skills Faculty NIPS Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata Job Type: Full-time Work Location: Kolkata, West Bengal – In person NIPS Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata is looking for a seasoned English Communication & Soft Skills Faculty who can help students become confident, articulate and professionally prepared communicators. We are not looking for a conventional English literature or grammar teacher. We need an experienced trainer who understands how to teach English as a practical communication skill and can work with students of different proficiency levels. Key Responsibilities - Conduct practical classes in Spoken English and English Communication. - Improve students' fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation and sentence formation. - Help students overcome hesitation and develop confidence in speaking English. - Train students in professional communication and workplace English. - Conduct sessions in public speaking, presentations, group discussions and extempore speaking. - Train students in interview skills, self-introduction and professional conversation. - Conduct mock interviews and prepare students for internships, placements and management trainee selections. - Teach skilled email writing and basic business communication. - Develop students' grooming, body language, etiquette, personality and professional presence. - Conduct hospitality-related role plays and guest-interaction exercises. - Identify weaker students and provide structured improvement and individual feedback.



- Regularly assess progress in communication, confidence and presentation skills. - Coordinate with faculty and placement teams to improve overall industry readiness. Candidate Profile - Master's Degree in English, Communication, Linguistics, ELT, Education or a relevant discipline. - Preferably 5+ years of experience in English communication training, soft-skills training, personality development or professional education. - Excellent spoken and written English. - Clear pronunciation and strong presentation skills. - Ability to teach students with varying levels of English proficiency. - Experience in hospitality education, aviation training, corporate training, IELTS/communication training or employability training will be an advantage. - Experience in interview preparation, grooming and personality development will be preferred. What We Are Looking For We need a teacher who can bring a visible improvement in students' communication and confidence. The successful candidate should be able to develop students who can: - Introduce themselves professionally - Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues - Participate in group discussions - Face interviews confidently - Demonstrate professional grooming and etiquette The emphasis should be on practical communication, confidence and employability, not merely textbook English. Salary ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on qualification, industry experience and teaching experience.
