FyneHand has been mandated to hire a Zonal Director for a leading group of hospitals. The job is based in Gurugram / NCR or relevant zone

n

Role Purpose: The Zonal Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple hospitals/units within the assigned zone, driving business growth, profitability, operational excellence, patient experience and clinical collaboration.

n

The role will be responsible for ensuring that individual hospitals operate as high-performing, integrated businesses while maintaining standards of clinical excellence, quality and patient-centric care.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

1. Zonal Business & P&L; Leadership

n

n
- Own overall revenue, profitability and business performance across the zone
n
- Drive growth through improved capacity utilization, specialty performance, new services and market development
n
- Monitor key metrics including revenue, EBITDA, occupancy, ARPOB, ALOS and specialty-wise performance
n
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiencies
n

n

2. Hospital Operations

n

n
- Provide strategic oversight to the operations of hospitals/units within the zone
n
- Ensure consistent operating standards, processes, governance and performance across units
n
- Improve patient flow, capacity utilization, productivity and service delivery
n
- Establish performance dashboards and regular business reviews
n

n

3. Clinical & Doctor Engagement

n

n
- Build strong relationships with senior clinicians and medical leadership
n
- Partner with clinical teams to drive specialty growth,



doctor productivity and patient volumes
n
- Facilitate collaboration across hospitals and specialties
n
- Ensure operational decisions support clinical excellence and patient outcomes
n

n

4. Patient Experience & Quality

n

n
- Drive consistent standards of patient experience and service excellence across the zone
n
- Monitor NPS, patient satisfaction and complaint resolution
n
- Ensure adherence to quality, patient-safety, regulatory and accreditation standards
n

n

5. Strategic Growth

n

n
- Identify opportunities for market expansion, recent specialties, capacity addition and service-line development
n
- Support new hospital launches, expansions and transformation initiatives
n
- Work closely with corporate functions on strategic and business-development initiatives
n

n

6. People & Leadership

n

n
- Lead and mentor Unit Heads and senior hospital leadership teams
n
- Build a strong leadership pipeline and succession plans
n
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance
n
- Drive cross-functional alignment across operations, clinical administration, HR, finance, marketing, supply chain and quality
n

n

Candidate Profile

n

n
- 18+ years of overall experience,



with significant senior leadership experience in healthcare
n
- Proven experience managing multiple hospitals, business units or a large regional healthcare portfolio
n
- Experience in P&L; management, hospital operations and business growth
n
- Preferably from a large tertiary/quaternary-care multispecialty hospital environment
n
- Strong experience in managing senior clinicians, Unit Heads and multiple stakeholders
n
- Demonstrated ability to drive both growth and operational transformation
n
- Strong commercial orientation combined with a deep understanding of patient-centric healthcare
n
