Senior Accountant Job Role in NBFC Designation: Senior Accountant / Senior Accounts Officer

Department: Accounts & Finance

Reports To: Finance Manager / Accounts Head / CFO

Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Accounting
Loan Accounting .
Reconcile loan accounts with the NBFC's loan-management system.
Bank & Cash Reconciliation
Collection Accounting
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial statements and MIS.
Prepare outstanding loan, collection and overdue reports.
Assist in preparation of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Trial Balance.
Provide financial information to management.
Statutory Compliance
Assist in GST, TDS and income-tax related work.
Maintain records required for statutory filings.




Coordinate with CA/auditors for accounting and compliance matters.
Assist in RBI/NBFC-related reporting and compliance wherever applicable.
Audit & Internal Control
Coordinate with statutory/internal auditors.
Provide supporting documents and schedules.
Check accounting accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Ensure proper documentation and approval of transactions.
MIS & Management Reporting
Prepare branch-wise and product-wise financial reports.
Prepare collection, disbursement and overdue MIS.
Monitor expenses and income.
Provide reports to senior management.
Tally / Accounting Software
Maintain accounts in Tally or relevant accounting software.
Maintain ledgers, vouchers, schedules and supporting documents.
Ensure proper classification of income, expenses, assets and liabilities.
