Steward Responsibilities

Maintaining Cleanliness
Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Clean floors, walls, and surfaces in food preparation and service areas.

Dishwashing Duties
Operate dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, and cooking utensils.

Waste Management
Properly dispose of kitchen waste and recycling according to hygiene and safety regulations.

Inventory Support
Assist in receiving, unloading, and organizing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
Notify supervisors of low stock or damaged items.

Support to Kitchen Staff
Provide support to chefs and kitchen staff during busy hours.
Transport ingredients, tools, and equipment as needed.

Compliance with Hygiene Standards
Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI).
Wear appropriate uniforms, gloves, and safety gear.

Equipment Maintenance
Report any faulty or broken kitchen equipment to the supervisor for repair or replacement.

Setup and Breakdown
Help with setup and cleanup for food service, buffets, or events.
