What we’re looking for

We are looking for a highly skilled Structural Specialist with experience in ship structural analysis, finite element modelling, and naval architecture. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation, experience developing practical engineering solutions, and the ability to manage research and development projects. You will be comfortable working with clients, contributing to industry standards, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to support the safe and efficient design and construction of marine structures.

A full time permanent role

The role
Develop and maintain ship rules, regulations, and structural assessment procedures.




Support research initiatives related to ship structural strength and fatigue.
Perform complex structural assessments and provide specialist technical advice.
Conduct and review static and energetic finite element analyses.
Develop practical methodologies and solutions for ship design and construction challenges.
Manage technical and R&D; projects, ensuring delivery within budget and timelines.
Prepare and review technical reports, procedures, and engineering documentation.
Present findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Assess project scope, effort, costs, and commercial requirements.
Support service improvement through client feedback and business development initiatives.
Collaborate with technical teams, plan approval offices, software teams, and consultancy groups.
Mentor and coach colleagues, supporting knowledge sharing and technical development.
