Job Description:
Revenue & Billing Management

• Track monthly revenue against budget/forecast.

• Monitor billable headcount, utilization and billing rates.

• Validate timesheets, billing inputs and invoicing accuracy.

• Identify and prevent revenue leakage such as unbilled effort, incorrect rates or missed billing.
Cost & Margin Management

• Track project/account cost vs. budget.

• Monitor cost rate, revenue and gross margin.

• Identify margin erosion due to higher-cost resources, under-utilization, delays or scope changes.

• Highlight prospects for cost optimization.
Forecasting & Variance Analysis

• Maintain monthly revenue and cost forecasts.

• Compare Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast.

• Perform variance analysis and explain the key drivers.

• Provide forward-looking insights to Account/Delivery leadership.
Resource & Capacity FinOps

This is particularly key for a PMO involved in capacity management:





• Track resource onboarding, roll-offs and utilization.

• Understand the financial impact of delayed onboarding or unplanned roll-offs.

• Assess the revenue impact of vacancies and replacement timelines.
Contract / SOW Financial Management

• Track SOW value, burn and remaining budget.

• Monitor contract extensions, descopes and scope changes.

• Ensure resources are aligned to the correct SOW/PID.

• Flag potential overrun or under-utilization of contracted capacity.
Leadership Reporting

Provide a concise financial view to Account/Delivery leadership, such as:

Revenue: Actual vs. forecast

Margin: Current margin vs. target

Utilization: Billable vs. available capacity

Revenue leakage: Identified / recovered

Forecast risk: Upcoming roll-offs, vacancies, delayed starts

Actions: Corrective actions and owners
