Job description for Electronics Shop manager,
Role overview,
An Electronics Production Manager, specialized in Class3 electronics assemblies in defence sector oversees the end-to-end manufacturing and testing process of mission critical electronic products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on time delivery.
This role demands precision, compliance with class 3 standards, IPC specialization knowledge base and cross functional coordination across engineering, quality, design departments to deliver high-reliability products under strict timelines.
Key responsibilities,
Oversee production of defence-grade electronic systems with end to end responsibility and ensure compliance of defence manufacturing standards.
Coordinate with cross functional departments like design, quality, product management, supply chain to meet stringent performance and reliability benchmarks.
Manage production schedules, resource planning, and cost control in alignment with defence contracts.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.
Mentor and supervise production team,



fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
Responsible for process optimization to improve yield, reduce waste and enhance throughput.
Responsible to evaluate and adopts recent tools, automation, digitalization to modernize production lines.
Responsible for internal and external audit.
Able to do capital expenditure(CapEx) management, annual budget planning, resource allocation, cost estimation & control etc.

Required skills and competencies,
Technical skills-
IPC 610,620 standards
Knowledge of assembly, testing of electronics unit & PCB assembly.
Knowledge of analog circuit , digital circuit ,wire harness, schematic, drownings etc.
Knowledge of Environmental stress screening(ESS) and ESS specifications.
MIL standards
Safety standards
Troubleshooting, debugging units and cards
Quality control(IPC,ISO)
ERP system, PLM system, SAP, Power Bi,
Knowledge of ESD Standards
