Surgery Counsellor – Eye Hospital

Position: Surgery Counsellor

Department: Clinical / Patient Counselling

Qualification: B.Sc. / M.Sc. Optometry or relevant healthcare qualification

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an Eye Hospital preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Counsel patients regarding Cataract, Retina, Squint and other ophthalmic surgeries/procedures.
Explain treatment options, procedures, advantages, risks, preparation and follow-up requirements.
Provide counselling for diagnostic procedures such as OCT and HFA when required.
Coordinate with Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, OT, Billing and other departments.
Support patients throughout the pre-operative and post-operative process.
Follow up with patients and assist in surgery scheduling and conversion.




Address patient and bystander queries professionally.
Maintain accurate counselling, follow-up and surgery records.
Ensure a positive patient experience and maintain confidentiality.
Achieve assigned patient counselling and surgery conversion targets.

Preferred Skills:
Positive knowledge of Cataract, Retina and Squint procedures.
Solid communication and patient counselling skills.
Good convincing and interpersonal skills.
Target-oriented and patient-focused approach.
Basic computer and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹11,185.69 - ₹25,650.33 per month
