Job Overview

The Vels Academy is looking for a passionate, energetic, and experienced Sports Coach with expertise in Skating and/or Basketball to train and mentor our students.

The coach will be responsible for developing students' sporting skills, physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship through structured and engaging training sessions.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct age-appropriate training sessions in Skating and/or Basketball.
Teach fundamental and advanced skills based on students' age and ability levels.
Develop students' fitness, agility, coordination, balance, speed, endurance, and overall physical well-being.
Conduct structured drills, practice sessions, and skill-development activities.
Identify individual strengths and areas for improvement and provide appropriate guidance.
Encourage discipline, teamwork, confidence, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
Maintain a safe, positive, and well-organised training environment.
Ensure appropriate warm-up, stretching, cool-down, and safety practices during all sessions.
Monitor student attendance, participation, and progress.
Prepare students for inter-school and external competitions, where applicable.




Coordinate with the school's sports team and relevant staff regarding training schedules, events, and competitions.
Ensure the proper use, care, and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Skating Coach, Basketball Coach, or Sports Coach.
Solid technical knowledge and practical coaching experience in Skating and/or Basketball.
Experience working with school students or children is preferred.
Relevant coaching certification or sports qualification will be an advantage.
Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage, motivate, and positively guide young learners.
Punctual, responsible, disciplined, and professional approach.
Candidates with experience in both Skating and Basketball will be preferred.

Working hours and schedule will be discussed based on the candidate's availability and school requirements.

Pay: From ₹18,000.00 per month
