Job Title: School Librarian

Reports To: Principal / Head of School

Job Summary

The School Librarian is responsible for managing and maintaining the school library, supporting students and teachers in accessing educational resources, and promoting reading, research, and independent learning among students.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
Organize, classify, catalogue, and maintain books, periodicals, newspapers, and digital resources.
Issue and return books and maintain accurate records of library transactions.
Assist students and teachers in locating appropriate books and learning resources.
Promote reading habits and encourage students to make effective use of library resources.
Conduct library orientation and guide students in research and information-literacy skills.
Maintain a welcoming, quiet, and student-friendly library workplace.
Recommend new books and educational resources based on the curriculum and students’ interests.




Maintain and update library databases and records.
Coordinate reading programs, book clubs, library activities, exhibitions, and other literary events.
Work closely with teachers to support classroom learning and curriculum requirements/.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
