Core Responsibilities:
Execute proprietary physical and chemical pre-treatment on Category III plastic feedstock.
Conduct enzymatic depolymerization batches using wild-type biocatalysts across versatile, variable-temperature environments (30°C to 70°C).
Perform routine sample preparation and run quantitative analysis using HPLC to measure monomer conversion yields.
Conduct titrations to optimize enzyme loading, pH levels, and buffer conditions for maximum efficiency.
Maintain rigorous,
legally defensible lab notebooks to support subsequent patent filings and BIRAC BIG grant reporting.
Required Qualifications:
MSc in Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a closely related field.
Proven hands-on experience operating HPLC and analyzing chromatograms.
Solid understanding of enzyme kinetics, protein handling, and buffer formulation.
Highly organized, capable of working independently as the primary bench scientist for an early-stage venture.
