Job Description – Design Engineer

Position : Design Engineer – Pump Manufacturing
Experience: 3–5 Years
Industry : Pump Manufacturing

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in the pump manufacturing / mechanical engineering industry. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing pump components and assemblies, preparing engineering drawings, and supporting manufacturing and production teams.

The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of SolidWorks or Solid Edge and a valuable understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop centrifugal pumps, pump components, assemblies, and related mechanical parts.
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and Solid Edge.
Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), part drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation.
Perform design calculations related to mechanical components, dimensions, tolerances, and material selection.
Modify and improve existing pump designs based on performance, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
Coordinate with Production,



Quality, Purchase departmenet for smooth implementation of designs.
Provide technical support to the manufacturing team for design and drawing-related issues.
Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, and cost optimization.

Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may also be considered based on relevant experience.
3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
Experience in the pump manufacturing industry will be preferred.
Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Required Skills
Proficiency in SolidWorks or Solid Edge.
Strong knowledge of 3D modeling and assembly design.
Good knowledge of 2D drafting and manufacturing drawings.
Ability to coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, and R&D; teams.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: ₹11,418.53 - ₹45,753.69 per month
