Job Purpose

Responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure reliable, high-quality data availability across the organization. Assists with data integration, transformation, and quality monitoring while collaborating with stakeholders and developing foundational data engineering skills under close supervision.

Key Result Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from various sources to support analytics and reporting requirements.
Write clean, effective, and well-documented SQL and Python code in line with established development standards and best practices.
Support data integration activities across data lakes, warehouses, and analytical platforms, ensuring reliable data availability.
Monitor pipeline performance, investigate issues, and escalate data quality or operational concerns as required.
Perform data validation and error-handling checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data outputs.
Maintain documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and transformation processes.
Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to promote quality and continuous improvement.




Work closely with data analysts and data scientists to understand requirements and deliver data engineering solutions that support business needs.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Fluent in English language.
Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data integration patterns
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and common storage services
Basic knowledge of data modelling and warehousing principles
Understanding of version control practices using Git
Solid attention to detail and commitment to data quality
Eagerness to learn, receive feedback, and grow in a team workplace
Basic understanding of relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)

Work Experience
With 1–2 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical role (including internships or academic projects). ITIL Certification is an advantage but not mandatory
