Key Responsibilities:
Independently complete small- to medium-sized features and defects
Participates in team planning activities
Able to triage easy issues independently, and more complex issues with some assistance
Participate in technical design and review of features, with guidance
Consistently follow best practices and guidelines
Help to mentor current team members
Know how to prioritize your own work
Understand the business supported by your applications
Proactively communicate status and issues to their manager
Propose ideas within the team to increase effectiveness through automation
Focused learning to attain expertise in one or more technical areas
Show a commitment to delivery deadlines, in particular seasonal and vendor partner deadlines that are critical to Best Buys continued success
Requirements:
3+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelors or associate degree, OR equivalent. Including:
2+ years of hands-on SQL development experience solving standard data engineering and analytics use cases (preferably using GCP)
Experience with DML/DDL operations (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, MERGE)
1+ years of experience in tuning data models for performance and data quality, including partitioning
1+ years of hands-on knowledge on multiple programming languages(preferably Python)
1+ years of experience with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
1+ years of practitioner level knowledge of large-scale data warehouse and BI tools migration to Google Cloud data lake
Preferred:
Robust understanding of Retail, Product lifecycle management
Passion for staying up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends
Proactive in learning new skills and sharing knowledge with the team
Ability to balance technical considerations with business requirements
