Job title: Customs Specialist (CS) APAC
Position within the organization:
Responsibilities of the the Customs Specialist:
Supports Sr Manager CETC on a variety of projects
Drives the regional implementation of CETC special projects
Supports external Customs audits
Deliver training for colleagues who are not customs specialists
Host office hours sessions to address questions in key customs topics
Identify opportunities for CETC special projects across ADM
Country of Origin (CoO):
Determination and maintenance of CoO dataset
Training stakeholders on CoO
Soft audits of businesses
Resolution of historic issues where identified
Governance of CoO data in ERP systems (including SAP where delployed)
Customs Brokers:
Maintain master list of customs brokers used by the business
Obtain and analyse declaration data from brokers on a regular basis
Identify risks and opportunities in the broker data set
Drive performance management sessions with key brokers
Maintain an up-to-date set of Powers of Attorney
Required competencies and skills - The CS:
Has a robust knowledge of customs legislation with a focus on APAC
Has proven experience in trade compliance and internal and external auditing.
Is familiar with origin determination.
Has valuable experience with SAP GTS and/or other customs automation solutions
Good working knowledge of HS classification, Free Trade Agreement qualification, operation of customs reliefs and customs valuation.
Works accurately.

Has professional English language skills.
Minimal work experience: The CS has at least 7 years active experience as a customs specialist, working in a large or medium-sized company. Previous roles should include the filing of customs and excise declarations, internal auditing, data processing, and reporting.
