Job Description, Responsibilities, and Requirements of candidate
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in offshore structural/mechanical design; experience with DNV-certified equipment preferred.
Proven experience in the design of offshore baskets, cargo baskets, offshore containers, skids, frames and lifting structures.
Positive working knowledge of applicable DNV standards/rules for offshore cargo-carrying and lifting equipment.
Strong knowledge of structural design and calculations, including beams, plates, stiffeners, connections, welds, pad eyes/lifting lugs, buckling and deflection.
Must understand lifting load calculations, SWL/WLL, sling angles, COG, load distribution and applicable agile/impact load cases.
Hands-on experience with FEA/structural analysis software such as ANSYS, STAAD, SACS, SolidWorks Simulation or equivalent.




Ability to prepare and review design calculations, design basis, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM/MTO and technical specifications.
Valuable understanding of fabrication, welding, NDT, material selection and offshore corrosion protection.
Experience coordinating with DNV/client inspectors and responding to technical comments during design approval/certification.
Ability to independently take a design from concept through calculation, drawing, fabrication support, inspection and certification.
Solid communication and technical problem-solving skills.
Preferred: Experience with Coflex hose baskets, lifting frames, offshore transportation frames and other DNV-certified lifting/cargo equipment.
