Job Description – DevOps & Build Release (BnR) Lead
Role Summary
The DevOps & BnR Lead is responsible for owning the endtoend CI/CD pipeline, release governance,
and setting readiness. This role ensures secure, reliable, and compliant deployments across
client and internal environments, while coordinating crossfunctional teams during client visits and
production releases.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD Pipeline Ownership
o Design, implement, and maintain automated build/test/deploy pipelines.
o Enforce branching strategies, versioning standards, and release gate criteria.
Release Management
o Prepare release packages, conduct readiness checks, and lead go/nogo decisions.
o Coordinate deployment schedules with product owners, QA, and client
stakeholders.

Client-Side Deployment Oversight
o Lead client visits for deployment activities.
o Ensure compliance with client IT/security policies and regulatory frameworks (RBI,
DPDP).
o Act as the single point of contact during clientside releases.
Environment Readiness
o Ensure QA, UAT, and Production settings are isolated, secure, and auditready.
o Oversee rollback scripts,



deployment packages, and version control.
Incident Response
o Lead troubleshooting during failed deployments.
o Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Process Improvement
o Identify automation gaps, enhance monitoring, and promote DevOps best practices.

Team & Client Interaction
BnR Lead: Coordinates release governance and client communication.
DevOps Engineer: Executes CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.
Infra/Cloud Specialist: Validates infra readiness, firewall, and network compliance.
QA/Validation Engineer: Performs smoke/regression testing and confirms functional
readiness.

Required Skills
Technical: CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps), Cloud (Azure/AWS), IaC (Terraform,
Ansible), Observability (Prometheus, Grafana).
Leadership: Stakeholder management, Agile project management, transparent risk communication.
Compliance & Security: Change request lifecycle, IAM enforcement, vulnerability scanning,
audit evidence preparation.
