Role & responsibilities

Leadership & Strategic Responsibilities:
Lead manufacturing, implement Lean Production and continuous improvement.
Formulate, execute and monitor departmental budgets.
Provide strategic guidance for ongoing and future production capabilities.
Develop and execute production roadmaps.

Manufacturing Operations:
Prepare monthly production plans based on sales forecasts.
Ensure strict compliance with quality and safety standards.
Ensure availability of manpower, materials, technology and equipment.
Implement policies for manpower, machines and materials.
Oversee job testing, resolve issues and drive Kaizen improvements.
Ensure effective packaging, logistics and material movement.

Plant & Machinery Maintenance:
Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery.
Maintain calibration schedules and documentation.
Improve machine uptime and reduce downtime.

Factory Administration:
Ensure safety and security standards across the factory.
Ensure statutory and legal compliance.
Manage emergencies and crises.
Coordinate with HR on overtime, attendance and discipline.

Vendor & Customer Management:
Support vendor development for materials and services.




Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Strengthen supplier relationships.

Budgeting & Planning:
Work closely with management on manpower and operational budgets.

System Adherence & Documentation:
Implement and monitor accurate documentation.
Stay updated with current technologies and industry developments.
Drive adherence to audits, compliance and system processes.

Team Management:
Lead, mentor and develop the production team.
Conduct performance reviews.
Identify and support training needs.

MIS & Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely MIS reporting.
Provide data-driven insights for decision-making.

Preferred candidate profile
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or equivalent; MBA or PG in Operations/General Management is preferred.
Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, statutory compliance and plant safety requirements.
Proven experience in P&L; responsibility, budgeting and cost management at a plant level.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multi-department plant operations effectively.
