Senior Business Development Head Real Estate Distressed Assets | Investment Banking

Location: BKC, Mumbai | Experience: 10–15 Years | Industry: Investment Banking / Merchant Banking

We are looking for a senior qualified to lead and build a dedicated Real Estate Distressed Assets & Funding Syndication vertical.

The role involves deal origination, distressed real estate investment, financial structuring, fundraising, restructuring and end-to-end transaction execution across residential, commercial and mixed-use projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Build and lead the real estate funding syndication vertical and manage a team for sourcing, structuring and execution.
Identify and originate distressed real estate investment opportunities.
Conduct financial, legal, market and operational due diligence and assess project viability.
Develop JV, debt/equity infusion, refinancing, restructuring and asset sale strategies.
Build relationships with banks, NBFCs, PE funds, special situation funds, ARCs and financial institutions for project-level funding.
Lead negotiations and manage transactions through execution.




Develop a strong pipeline of distressed real estate prospects and maintain relationships with developers, lenders and investors.
Monitor funded/restructured projects and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

Mandatory Requirements:
10–15 years of relevant experience in Real Estate Investment, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Asset Restructuring, Distressed Assets, Special Situations or Turnaround Consulting.
Prior experience in Asset Reconstruction, IBC/NCLT matters or Special Situation Funds.
Solid knowledge of RERA, financial modelling, deal structuring and transaction documentation.
Strong network across real estate developers, investors, banks/NBFCs and funding institutions.
Excellent business development, negotiation and team leadership skills.

Qualification: Graduate in Business/Finance; CA/MBA/CFA preferred.

Notice Period: Immediate–30 Days | Gender: Open | Relocation: Not Preferred

Working Days: 6 days; 1st & 3rd Saturday WFH, 2nd & 4th Saturday Off.
