Role & responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in packaging products and materials for storage or shipment: Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, packaging material to be used, and other packaging requirements.
Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments.
Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications.
Ensures proper handling of packaging machinery and timely notifies maintenance department whenever necessary.
Trains workers in operation of equipment.
Prepares all reports related to packaging and prepare monthly MIS for packaging
Should be able to put packaging data in to the ERP available (Tally) and do it on timely basis.
Ensures Cold chain is maintained throughout packaging line as per SOP designed and shared by QA.
Ensure all food safety documents are maintained as required.
Follow and maintain all food safety guidelines shared by QA. And ensure the same is followed by the packaging team as well.
Packaging line to be optimized to run in line with the overall production targets assigned by the management.
