TCS Hiring for Database Developer/ Engineer

nExperience Range: - 06 To 10 Years (Mandatory)
n(Note: Candidates below 5 years of IT experience shall not be considered)

nJOB DESCRIPTION
n

nKey Responsibilities:
n

n
- n
- Traditional data migration using backup, restore approach for small to large size databases.n
- Ensure the right configuration and objects are in place, like on-premises database servers to AWS EC2 instances.n
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.n
- SQL Server Installation, Mirroring, Database migration, High Availability, Disaster Recovery and Always on feature.n
- Prepare documentation and maintain the right set of customer processes to meet migration needs.n
- Handling and migrating encrypted and different types of data (e.g.: PII, PCI etc.)n
- Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup & restore, recovery, migration, etc.n
- Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary,n
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholdersn




- Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specificationsn

nKey Skills:
n

n
- n
- Robust proficiency in MS SQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL database management.n
- Decent experience with recent versions of MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQLn
- Understanding of underlying storage engines of databasen
- Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in databasen
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statementsn
- Proficiency with other SQL databasesn

n15 years of Full Time Education
