Job SummaryThe Associate Vice President – Testing (Testing CoE) will lead and strengthen the Testing Center of Excellence within the Enterprise Technology function.This role will be responsible for defining and driving the organization’s quality engineering vision by establishing standardized testing frameworks, promoting automation-first strategies, and ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing digital solutions across enterprise platforms.As a strategic leader, the incumbent will champion delivery excellence, foster a strong quality culture, and enable faster time-to-market with minimal defect leakage. Working closely with technology, product, and business stakeholders, this role will play a key part in enhancing API platform reliability, optimizing middleware ecosystems, and ensuring seamless digital experiences aligned with the organization’s broader transformation agenda.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyLead the Testing CoE to deliver large-scale digital initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Agile teams.Define and implement a comprehensive testing strategy aligned with organizational objectives.Establish governance frameworks, standards, and decision-making protocols for testing practices.Manage a core internal team while overseeing a larger extended/vendor workforce across roles such as Project Managers, Analysts, Engineers, and QA Leads.Testing ExcellenceDesign and institutionalize standardized testing methodologies, processes,
and toolsets across the enterprise.Drive automation-first practices to enhance coverage, efficiency, and defect prevention.Evaluate and manage testing tools, platforms, and infrastructure for enterprise-scale delivery.Define, monitor, and improve key quality metrics to ensure effective and effective delivery.Ensure high-quality delivery of integration and middleware components aligned with architecture and engineering standards.Knowledge Management & EnablementPromote knowledge sharing and reuse across testing and integration functions.Enable teams through training, mentoring, and adoption of best practices in testing.Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in quality engineering and drive internal adoption where relevant.Competencies & Skills Required12–15 years of experience in IT, with strong exposure to testing leadership roles.Proven expertise in building secure, scalable, and high-performance integration and testing solutions.Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and domain-driven systems (BFSI exposure preferred).Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage vendor ecosystems effectively.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on delivery excellenceKey RelationshipsInternal:Senior Digital & Technology LeadershipProduct and Engineering TeamsEnterprise Architecture and IT OperationsExternal:Technology and integration partnersBusiness stakeholders and partner teamsConsulting organizations
