Your Mission

Own the end-to-end preparation and financial governance of client Statements of Work and then govern it through delivery to closure. This role is the finance owner of "what we agreed to deliver, for how much, on what terms, and how we get paid."

The ideal candidate will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, automation initiatives, and management reporting, while driving business insights through Power BI dashboards and advanced Excel models.

What You'll Do

SOW Preparation (Core)

- Translate scope inputs from sales/delivery into a complete, unambiguous SOW - objectives, deliverables, assumptions
- Define and validate the commercial model: T&M;, fixed-price, milestone-based, or retainer-and price it correctly against approved rate cards and cost estimates.
- Build the effort and cost basis: resource mix, roles, rates,



estimated hours/duration, and the resulting margin-flagging anything below threshold.
- Structure the payment schedule and billing triggers: milestones, deliverable-linked invoicing, advances, retainers, and holdbacks aligned to cash-flow needs.
- Draft scope boundaries precisely to prevent leakage-what's in, what's out, and how out-of-scope work becomes a billable change request.
- Define timelines, milestones, and dependencies, tying each to acceptance and payment where relevant.
- Specify rate cards, escalation clauses, overtime/expense terms, and currency.
- Run the review and approval workflow-internal sign-offs from delivery and finance-before client issuance.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts Preparation of budgets, forecasts and planning to ensure considerably accurate the SOW amount.

SOW Governance (Post-Signature)

- Track each SOW against actuals-effort burned, milestones hit, margin realized vs. committed.
- Trigger invoicing at the right milestones; ensure billing matches SOW terms exactly.
- Manage amendments, change requests, and renewals with the same rigor as the original.
- Monitor unbilled revenue/WIP and drive timely collections with AR.
- Maintain the SOW repository with all key dates, obligations, and financial parameters.
- Consistently follow-up with the client for the purchase orders for the signed SOWs

Reporting & Partnership

- Report SOW-level profitability, backlog, billing status,



and at-risk revenue to finance leadership.
- Partner with sales (at deal shaping) and delivery (at execution) so commercials, scope, and cost stay aligned.
- Support forecasting, audits, and revenue reporting with accurate SOW data.

What You Bring

- 5-6 years of contract managing experience, preferably in IT Services / Technology / Consulting.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard automation).
- Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, Power Query, macros preferred).
- Experience in automation using BI tools, Excel automation, or workflow tools.
- Experience in system implementation (BI tools, ERP modules, financial systems, or internal tools).
- Strong understanding of IT services financial models (billing, revenue recognition, margins).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in finance/commerce; MBA (Finance) preferred / CA background much preferred.
