We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP & Word Press Developer to join our international team in a long-term, 100% work-from-home role.

This position requires a highly skilled developer who can work independently, take ownership of projects, communicate effectively with internal teams and clients, and consistently deliver high-quality work.

The role involves hands-on custom Word Press and PHP development, Elementor development, HTML-to-Elementor conversion, Woo Commerce customisation, API integrations, performance optimisation, AEO/SEO implementation and technical leadership.

Your expertise in custom Word Press theme and plugin development, PHP, Elementor, front-end development and AI-assisted development is essential.

Position Overview

Lead the development and maintenance of custom Word Press websites, Woo Commerce functionality, themes, plugins and Elementor-based websites.

Build, enhance and support applications using Core PHP and frameworks such as Laravel, Code Igniter or CakePHP.

Develop custom Word Press functionality using hooks, filters, custom post types, taxonomies and custom fields.

Build responsive websites using Elementor and Elementor Pro.

Convert supplied HTML/CSS pages, designs or templates into accurate, fully editable Elementor websites.

Reproduce supplied layouts, typography, spacing, colours, interactions and responsive behaviour accurately across desktop, tablet and mobile.

Create reusable Elementor templates, sections, containers and components while maintaining clean structure and avoiding unnecessary page-builder bloat.

Use custom CSS, Java Script and jQuery where Elementor’s native functionality is insufficient.

Customise and enhance front-end experiences using HTML5, CSS3, Java Script and jQuery.

Ensure Core Web Vitals, page performance, caching strategies and development best practices are consistently implemented.

Implement and optimise websites for AEO-SEO (Answer Engine Optimisation / AI Search Readiness), including structured data, schema markup, semantic HTML, performance and technical SEO.

Develop and integrate REST APIs, third-party services, CRMs, payment gateways and external platforms.

Maintain strong focus on web security, OWASP principles, safe coding standards and platform stability.

Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards,



responsive behaviour and cross-browser compatibility.

Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Digital Marketing Teams and Clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Review code and ensure development standards are followed.

Estimate development effort, manage workloads and ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines.

Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in PHP and Word Press development.

Strong expertise in Core PHP and Object-Oriented PHP.

Strong experience developing custom Word Press themes and plugins.

Advanced knowledge of Word Press hooks, filters, custom post types, taxonomies and custom fields.

Strong Woo Commerce development and customisation experience.

Strong Elementor and Elementor Pro experience.

Proven experience converting HTML/CSS designs or templates into Elementor websites.

Ability to accurately reproduce supplied HTML designs inside Elementor while maintaining responsiveness, performance and editability.

Advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Java Script and jQuery.

Strong responsive front-end development experience.

Deep understanding of MySQL, database architecture and query optimisation.

Proven experience with REST APIs, third-party integrations, CRMs, payment gateways and external services.

Practical experience with Git and version-control workflows.

Strong understanding of web security best practices, OWASP principles and secure coding standards.

Strong knowledge of Core Web Vitals, caching and website performance optimisation.

Robust understanding of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.

Ability to analyse business requirements and convert them into reliable technical solutions.

Strong understanding of AEO-SEO (Answer Engine Optimisation / AI Search Readiness) is mandatory.

Elementor & HTML Conversion Skills

Strong Elementor and Elementor Pro experience is required.

Candidates must be comfortable taking completed HTML/CSS pages or templates and rebuilding them inside Elementor.

This includes:

Converting static HTML pages into fully editable Word Press and Elementor websites.

Accurately matching layouts, typography, spacing, colours and responsive behaviour.

Creating reusable Elementor sections, containers, templates and components.

Using Elementor Theme Builder where appropriate.

Adding custom CSS, Java Script or jQuery where required.

Maintaining clean Elementor structure and avoiding unnecessary nesting.

Ensuring websites remain easy for non-technical users to edit.

Maintaining good page speed and Core Web Vitals after conversion.

Troubleshooting differences between supplied HTML designs and Elementor-rendered output.

AI Skills & Experience

Strong practical experience using AI tools as part of everyday web development workflows is required.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Git Hub Copilot, Cursor or similar platforms.

Experience using Claude as part of web development, UI/UX and design-to-development workflows is expected.

Candidates should be able to use AI tools for:

Coding and debugging.

Refactoring and code review.





Testing and documentation.

HTML/CSS generation and improvement.

UI/UX concepts and layout planning.

Website structure and component planning.

Front-end development.

Responsive design problem-solving.

Elementor implementation planning.

Ability to create effective AI prompts for development, debugging, testing, documentation and design-related workflows.

SEO / AEO Skills

Strong understanding of AEO-SEO (Answer Engine Optimisation / AI-driven SEO) is mandatory.

Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals related to Word Press, including schema, indexing, crawlability, sitemaps and semantic HTML.

Experience implementing structured data and schema markup to improve search and AI visibility.

Understanding of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimisation and performance best practices.

Ability to work closely with marketing teams to optimise websites for search visibility, AI visibility, conversions and user experience.

Awareness of modern AI-search behaviours and answer-engine readiness.

Conversion Tracking Skills – Advantage

Experience setting up and troubleshooting website conversion tracking is considered an advantage.

Useful experience includes:

Google Tag Manager (GTM).

Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

Google Ads conversion tracking.

Meta Pixel and Meta conversion events.

Form submission tracking.

Button click and phone click tracking.

Woo Commerce purchase and eCommerce tracking.

Custom Java Script events.

Data layer implementation.

Testing and troubleshooting missing, duplicate or incorrectly firing conversion events.

Ability to work with Digital Marketing teams to ensure campaigns and website conversions are tracked correctly.
