We are looking for an experienced Senior Executive – Import Pricing to join our Pricing team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Import Pricing within the Freight Forwarding industry, with strong knowledge of Ocean Import and Air Import freight.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pricing and procurement for Ocean Import and Air Import shipments.
- Obtain competitive freight rates from shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders and overseas agents.
- Prepare accurate and competitive customer quotations within the required TAT.
- Negotiate rates with carriers, NVOCCs and service providers to maintain profitability.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Customer Service and overseas offices for pricing requirements.
- Maintain and update tariff databases, contracts and rate sheets.
- Monitor market trends, carrier pricing and competitive freight rates.
- Support tender submissions and RFQ requirements.
- Follow up on quotations and support business conversion.
- Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders and vendors.
- Prepare pricing reports, rate analysis and profitability reviews.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Ocean Import and Air Import Freight Forwarding.
- Good understanding of INCOTERMS, international trade and freight costing.
- Experience handling pricing requests from customers, agents and sales teams.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good analytical and commercial acumen.
- Ability to manage multiple pricing inquiries and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and Freight Forwarding ERP systems.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in Import Pricing within a Freight Forwarding company.
- Strong network/coordination experience with shipping lines, airlines and co-loaders.
- Ability to independently manage pricing activities and support business growth.
- Candidates who can join immediately or are serving a short notice period will be preferred.
