About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Game Designer to join our client's team in a remote capacity. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about board games, strategic reasoning, and AI development. As a Board Game Reasoning Expert focusing on AI training and evaluation, you will play a crucial role in advancing the capabilities of next-generation AI models. Your expertise in game mechanics, decision-making processes, and complex rule systems will be instrumental in creating and refining datasets that enhance AI understanding and reasoning skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, cognitive science, game design, philosophy, economics, or a related analytical discipline.
- At least two years of professional or semi-professional experience in board-game design, playtesting, or involvement in tabletop game communities.
- Strong knowledge of logic, probabilistic reasoning, game mechanics, and complex rule systems.
- Background in game theory, behavioral economics, decision science, or formal logic is highly desirable.
- Excellent written communication skills for documenting evaluation results, guidelines, and dataset descriptions.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and reviewing game-based reasoning tasks aimed at evaluating AI systems capabilities.



Your primary duties will include analyzing various board-game scenarios, developing strategic decision trees, and creating rule-based systems to serve as datasets for AI training. You will evaluate AI-generated responses, ensuring correctness, consistency, and logical reasoning, and provide valuable feedback to improve AI performance. Additionally, you will develop prompts, rubrics, and evaluation guidelines tailored to board-game and strategy-focused tasks. Identifying logical errors, rule violations, and flawed reasoning in AI outputs will be critical, as you contribute to the creation of benchmarks that set industry standards for AI evaluation.
