Position description:
We are seeking a passionate and driven professional to join our Private Markets division in a senior role. In this position, you will lead delivery teams supporting private equity clients across the investment lifecycle, including investment strategy analysis, opportunity evaluation, commercial due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and strategic advisory engagements across sectors and geographies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Investment Theme & Strategy Analysis: Evaluate the attractiveness of sector‑, geography‑, and company‑focused investment themes and strategies through structured qualitative and quantitative assessment.
- Investment Opportunity Identification: Identify emerging and high‑growth investment opportunities by analyzing market size, historical and forecast growth, industry trends, key demand drivers, and structural dynamics.
- New Market Identification & Entry Strategy Development: Assess potential new markets by evaluating market size, competitive intensity, growth potential, and formulate organic and/or inorganic market entry strategies.
- M&A; and Strategic Evaluation: Support identification and assessment of potential acquisition targets by analyzing end markets, product and service offerings, and strategic and financial synergies.
- Commercial Due Diligence Support: Conduct commercial due diligence for prospective investments, including evaluation of market opportunity, assessment of the target company's business model, and analysis of competitive positioning.
- Industry Dashboards & Market Monitoring: Develop and maintain industry dashboards for periodic tracking of key industry drivers, trends, and performance metrics across selected sectors.
- Portfolio Company Monitoring: Track and analyze operational and financial performance of portfolio companies on a periodic basis, benchmark performance against peers, and identify potential upside and downside risk triggers.
- Financial Modelling & Valuation Support: Build and analyze financial models to support investment decisions, including forecasting, valuation using income‑based methodologies and market multiples (relative valuation), scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Quantitative & Credit Analysis: Provide quantitative support through detailed market and industry analyses, competitive benchmarking, opportunity sizing, credit research, debt analysis, covenant monitoring, cash flow assessment, and conversion analysis.
- Project Management: Structure and plan projects end‑to‑end, conceptualize analytical outputs, manage timelines,
and ensure high‑quality deliverables aligned with client expectations.
Client Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Understand client requirements, discuss project scope, negotiate timelines, and manage ongoing communication by addressing client queries effectively.
Additional Responsibilities:
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or research-oriented roles.
- Strong expertise in quantitative analysis, including financial modelling, trading and transaction comparables, and competitive benchmarking.
- Professional qualifications preferred, such as CFA, CA, or an MBA from a top-tier business school.
- Solid grounding in core business fundamentals with well-developed analytical and business evaluation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to present insights clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to perform under tight timelines while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Highly motivated and dedicated professional with a demonstrated track record of academic excellence and solid analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities, including planning, coordination, and execution across multiple workstreams.
