Job Description – Hardware & Networking EngineerPosition: Hardware & Networking EngineerDepartment: IT / Information TechnologyLocation: KolkataExperience: 4 – 8 yearsCTC: 5- 10lpa (depends for relevant experience and suitability of the candidature)Qualification: B.Tech/B.E./BCA/MCA/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related fieldEmployment Type: Full-timeKey ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT hardware.Provide hardware and software troubleshooting and technical support to employees.Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, firewalls and network infrastructure.Monitor network connectivity and resolve issues related to Internet, LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN and server connectivity.Configure and maintain IP addressing, DHCP, DNS and basic network services.Maintain and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, MS Office and other business applications.Manage user accounts, access rights and permissions as per company requirements.Support CCTV, biometric/access-control systems, attendance systems and other IT-enabled devices, where required.Coordinate with Internet Service Providers, hardware vendors and AMC/service providers for technical issues.Maintain proper records of IT assets, hardware inventory, software licenses and network equipment.Perform regular backup, system updates,



antivirus/security checks and preventive maintenance.Assist in installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure at office and plant locations.Ensure minimum downtime by responding promptly to IT/network-related incidents.Maintain documentation of network architecture, IP allocation, hardware and troubleshooting activities.Support implementation of IT security policies and basic cybersecurity practices.Coordinate with the central IT team for system upgrades, network expansion and recent installations.Required Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of Computer Hardware & TroubleshootingGood understanding of LAN/WAN and TCP/IPHands-on experience with Routers, Switches, Wi-Fi and FirewallsKnowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows ServerBasic knowledge of Active Directory, DNS and DHCPKnowledge of VPN and remote troubleshootingExperience with printer, scanner and peripheral configurationKnowledge of network cabling, patch panels and structured networkingBasic understanding of IT security, antivirus and endpoint protectionGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPreferredExperience in a manufacturing/industrial organization or multi-location companyExperience supporting plant/factory IT infrastructureKnowledge of ERP/business applications and user supportKnowledge of CCTV, biometric and access-control systemsExperience coordinating with vendors and AMC partnersCertifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+ / Network+ or Microsoft certifications would be an advantage.
