Job Role: Embedded Linux Device Driver Engineer – SoC & BSP
Experience: 3 to 14 Years
Location: Bangalore
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and debug Linux device drivers for embedded SoC platforms.- Develop drivers for interfaces such as USB, PCIe, Ethernet, Display, Camera, Storage, Multimedia, and GPU.- Analyze and resolve complex Linux Kernel, device driver, hardware, and system-level issues.- Work closely with hardware, firmware, BSP, and system teams for hardware-software integration.- Read and understand board schematics for effective driver development and debugging.- Perform low-level debugging using JTAG, signal analyzers, and other hardware debugging tools.- Develop robust, reusable, and production-quality device driver code.- Support SoC and BSP bring-up activities.- Debug issues across hardware,
firmware, kernel, drivers, and peripherals.- Work with development and build tools such as Git and Yocto.
Technical Skills
- Excellent programming skills in C.- Robust hands-on experience in Linux Device Driver Development.- Experience with design, implementation, debugging, and optimization of Linux device drivers.- Deep understanding of Linux Internals and Linux Kernel Architecture.- Good knowledge of ARM or RISC-V processor architectures.- Ability to read and understand board schematics.- Experience with Git and Yocto.- Hands-on experience with JTAG, signal analyzers, or similar debugging tools.
