Peelon®’s mission is to combat food waste, environmental degradation, and world hunger, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable future for the planet and coming generations.Role DescriptionThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Peelon®, including strategic financial planning, budgeting, and cash-flow management. Based in Visakhapatnam in a hybrid capacity, the CFO will spend part of the time on-site and may perform some responsibilities remotely. Day-to-day activities include preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, guiding long-term financial strategy, managing investor and stakeholder relations, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.



The CFO will collaborate closely with the founding team to evaluate growth opportunities, support fundraising and capital allocation decisions, and implement financial controls and metrics that align with the company’s mission and scale-up plans. This role also involves building and mentoring the finance function, optimizing systems and processes, and providing data-driven insights to support operational and strategic decisions across the organization.QualificationsDemonstrated strength in core finance and financial planning, including Financial Planning, Finance, and budget management.Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including consolidation, variance analysis, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, modeling scenarios, and supporting strategic decision-making.Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably as CFO or equivalent in a startup, scale-up, or high-growth workplace.Knowledge of corporate finance, fundraising, investor relations, and capital structuring, including experience with equity, debt, or grant funding.Understanding of supply chain, manufacturing, or agritech sectors is highly beneficial, especially in global or export-oriented contexts.Ability to design and implement internal controls, financial systems, KPIs, and reporting frameworks suitable for a rapidly growing organization.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, mission-driven team.
