We’re hiring: Junior L1 Voice Support Engineer – SIP, SBC and VoIPHookZ India Private Limited is looking for a junior engineer with hands-on experience in SIP trunking, VoIP and enterprise voice environments.? Location: Chennai or Thanjavur (Hybrid)? Experience: 1–2 years? Employer: HookZ.Ai India Private LimitedEssential requirement:Candidates must have 1–2 years of practical experience supporting or troubleshooting SIP trunks. Applications without relevant SIP trunking experience will not be considered.Key responsibilities:- Provide L1 support for AudioCodes and Ribbon SBCs, voice gateways and SIP infrastructure- Monitor SBC health, alarms, availability and SIP trunk status- Troubleshoot failed calls, one-way or no-way audio, call routing, codecs, DTMF and caller ID issues- Review basic SIP traces, packet captures, SBC logs and call detail records- Investigate network, DNS, NTP, firewall, NAT and TLS-related issues- Support Microsoft Teams Direct Routing connectivity- Record and manage incidents in line with SLA and escalation procedures- Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 engineers with complete diagnostic information- Assist with maintenance, configuration backups,
upgrades and health checksWhat we’re looking for:- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, Electronics or a related discipline- 1–2 years of hands-on SIP trunking experience- Good understanding of SIP, SDP, RTP, TCP/UDP, TLS and VoIP call flows- Basic knowledge of IP networking, VLANs, routing, NAT, DNS and firewalls- Exposure to AudioCodes or Ribbon SBCs is strongly preferred- Familiarity with Wireshark and SIP analysis tools- Transparent communication, documentation and troubleshooting skills- Willingness to participate in shift or on-call support when requiredExposure to Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, Genesys Cloud, NICE CXone, Amazon Connect or Zoom Phone would be an advantage.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career voice engineer who wants to build deeper expertise in SBCs, cloud communications and enterprise voice technologies.Interested candidates can apply through LinkedIn or send their CV with the subject line “Junior SBC L1 Support Engineer” to
