YoungMinds.app is hiring a hands-on Technical Lead and Maker to guide student innovation projects, prototypes and technical learning across our programs.

This is not only a robotics trainer role.

You will help students and mentors turn ideas into working prototypes using hardware, software and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

- Mentor students building innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
- Guide projects from idea to technical approach, prototype, testing and improvement.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert across YoungMinds programs.
- Build and test reference prototypes before projects reach students.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware and integration issues.
- Support learning designers in creating technically sound projects and challenges.
- Evaluate tools, kits, platforms and emerging technologies.
- Create clear technical guides and build documentation.
- Support mentors when student projects become technically complex.

Technical Skills

Strong practical knowledge in several of these areas:

- Electronics and embedded systems
- Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi
- Sensors and actuators
- IoT and connected devices
- Robotics
- Python, C or C++
- AI tools and APIs
- Rapid prototyping
- 3D CAD and 3D printing
- Hardware-software integration

You do not need expertise in every area.





You do need strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn new tools quickly.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience building technical projects.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging ability.
- Comfortable working across hardware and software.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students.
- Ability to guide students without taking over their projects.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-changing startup environment.
- Fluent Malayalam is mandatory.
- Willing to work in office in Kozhikode.

Experience in any of these is a plus:

- Hackathons
- Innovation competitions
- Maker communities
- Product prototyping
- Startup projects
- STEM or maker education
- Technical mentoring
- Entrepreneurship programs

This Role May Not Be a Fit If

- Your experience is mainly tutorials or certifications.
- You have little hands-on project experience.
- You are looking only for a classroom teaching role.
- You prefer fixed responsibilities and highly structured work.
