Profile: Mechanical Fitter

Experience:

3-7 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Technician. Experience in paper, packaging, textile, chemical or other process/manufacturing plants will be preferred. Candidates with hands-on experience in industrial machinery maintenance will be preferred. Roles:

Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and mechanical equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimize machine downtime and production losses. Handle installation, dismantling, alignment and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, conveyors and mechanical drives. Attend to machine breakdowns and ensure timely restoration of equipment. Perform mechanical fitting, fabrication,



assembly and replacement of machine components. Conduct routine inspection and lubrication of machinery and identify potential mechanical failures. Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, equipment layouts and assembly diagrams. Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports and spare-parts requirements. Coordinate with Production and Electrical/Instrumentation teams during breakdowns and maintenance activities. Follow plant safety procedures, PPE requirements and maintenance standards. Qualification:

ITI - Fitter / Mechanical Fitter or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Relevant technical certification in mechanical maintenance will be an advantage.
