Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and optimizing mechanical components, structures, equipment, and systems as per project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, assemblies, and structures.
- Develop engineering drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and manufacturing details.
- Work on fabrication, structural and mechanical design as per project requirements.
- Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detail drawings.
- Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Perform basic design calculations and ensure structural/mechanical integrity.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, procurement, and project teams.
- Review drawings and make necessary design modifications based on site or production requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and material take-offs.
- Support installation, fabrication, inspection, and commissioning teams whenever required.




- Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings and design documents.
- Identify design improvements to reduce cost, weight, manufacturing time, and material wastage.

Required Technical Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA will be an advantage.
- Positive understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of fabrication and structural steel components.
- Understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, fits, welding symbols, and engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of materials, welding, machining, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
