Network Engineer - IT Operations & Infrastructure

- Purpose of Role:
- Perform daily network operations, troubleshooting, configuration and implementation activities to support ODC/DC/Customer connectivity.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incidents and perform device health checks on Cisco switches (Catalyst, Nexus) and Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate).

Implement configuration changes: port configurations, VLAN assignments, firewall policy deployments, IPSec VPNs, QoS, NAT policies.

Provide firewall policy deployment & VPN support (site-to-site/remote access).

Monitor network and perform preventive maintenance; escalate as per L1 procedure.

Backup configurations and coordinate change implementations with field operations.

Work with service providers (ISP/MPLS carriers) for bandwidth provisioning, fault escalations, and WAN links.

Maintain and update network documentation and runbooks.

Required Experience & Skills: 2-4 years of experience with Cisco switching/routing,



Fortinet firewall administration, and core TCP/IP networking.

Familiar with configuration backup tools and L2/L3 troubleshooting (ping, traceroute, log analysis).

Working knowledge of ISP coordination and MPLS/IP architectures.

Preferred Certifications & Qualifications: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)

Fortinet Network Security Associate

ITIL Foundation

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Network Team Lead; collaborates with Server Engineers and support teams.
