Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Music Instrument Teacher with strong proficiency in Keyboard and Guitar and working knowledge of Tabla and Harmonium. The candidate will be responsible for teaching students instrumental music, developing their musical abilities, preparing them for performances, and encouraging creativity and interest in music.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct structured music classes for students across different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach Keyboard and Guitar through both theoretical and practical sessions.
- Introduce students to basic music theory, notation, rhythm, scales, chords, and musical terminology.
- Develop students' technical skills, rhythm, coordination, listening ability, and musical expression.
- Provide individual and group instrumental training.
- Identify students' musical interests and abilities and provide appropriate guidance.
- Prepare students for school events, annual day, cultural programmes, competitions, assemblies, and other performances.
- Conduct rehearsals and coordinate with the Performing Arts/Music department for school programmes.
- Provide basic training and support in Tabla and Harmonium wherever required.
- Create age-appropriate lesson plans and practice exercises.
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress and maintain appropriate records.
- Encourage students to participate in music activities and develop confidence through performances.
- Maintain and appropriately handle musical instruments and equipment.
- Coordinate with other music/dance teachers for combined performances and productions.




- Stay updated with new teaching methodologies, musical techniques, and relevant trends in music education.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong proficiency in Keyboard and Guitar.
- Working knowledge of Tabla and Harmonium.
- Good understanding of Indian and/or Western music fundamentals.
- Ability to read and teach basic musical notation/chords.
- Strong rhythm, pitch, and musical sense.
- Ability to teach students with different levels of musical ability.
- Good classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to prepare students for live performances.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school management.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's/Diploma/Certificate in Music or Instrumental Music from a recognized institution preferred.
- Relevant certification in Keyboard/Guitar or equivalent professional training will be an advantage.
- Candidates with robust practical expertise and relevant teaching experience may also be considered.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in teaching Keyboard/Guitar, preferably in a school or educational institution.
- Experience in training students for school-level performances, competitions, and cultural events will be an added advantage.
