Salesperson – Roles & Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new customers including contractors, builders, developers, dealers, architects, and construction companies.
- Visit construction sites, project locations, dealers, and customer offices to generate business.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable construction materials.
- Promote and sell products such as cement, steel, pipes, electrical materials, plumbing materials, hardware, tiles, aggregates, and other building materials.
- Generate leads through market visits, references, networking, and existing customer relationships.
- Prepare and share quotations based on customer requirements and market pricing.
- Negotiate pricing, quantity, payment terms, and delivery schedules with customers.
- Follow up on quotations and convert leads into confirmed orders.
- Coordinate with the purchase, warehouse, logistics, and accounts teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Track customer orders, pending payments, and outstanding receivables.
- Maintain regular relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business.




- Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and collection targets.
- Maintain daily sales activity, customer visit, lead, quotation, and order reports.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and delivery-related issues.
- Develop long-term relationships with key customers and identify opportunities for increasing sales.

Key Skills Required

- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of construction/building materials
- Strong field sales and customer-handling skills
- Ability to generate leads and close sales
- Valuable knowledge of local construction market
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and sales reporting
- Willingness to travel for customer and site visits
- Target-oriented and relationship-focused approach

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
