Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Product Management Lead to manage the end-to-end product planning, availability, inventory, supply chain, vendor coordination, and product movement for our jewellery retail business.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that required jewellery collections are available at the right store, in the right quantity, at the right time, while maintaining optimum stock levels, controlling product costs, and reducing excess and ageing inventory.

The role will work closely with Stores, Sales, Purchase, Merchandising, Finance, Warehouse, and Vendors to ensure smooth product availability and movement.

Key Responsibilities

Jewellery Product & Inventory Management

- Manage inventory of jewellery products across categories such as Gold, Diamond, Silver, Pearls, and other jewellery collections.
- Monitor store-wise product availability and ensure sufficient stock is maintained based on sales requirements.
- Analyse fast-moving, slow-moving, non-moving, and ageing jewellery stock.
- Identify product shortages and excess stock and coordinate replenishment or redistribution.
- Monitor store-wise stock requirements based on sales trends, customer demand, upcoming events, exhibitions, and business requirements.
- Ensure the right product mix is maintained across stores.
- Track product movement between warehouse, stores, exhibitions, and other locations.
- Coordinate inter-store stock transfers wherever required to improve product availability.

Store Coordination

- Regularly coordinate with Store Managers and Sales Teams to understand product requirements.




- Collect and analyse store-wise requirements for new collections, designs, categories, sizes, and price ranges.
- Monitor products requested by stores but currently unavailable and follow up for timely fulfilment.
- Ensure important/high-demand products are available at the required stores.
- Work with stores to identify products that are not moving and recommend suitable stock movement or redistribution.

Supply Chain & Vendor Management

- Manage the jewellery product supply chain from requirement planning to product availability at stores.
- Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, suppliers, and internal purchase teams for product availability.
- Follow up on pending orders, production timelines, dispatches, deliveries, and delayed products.
- Maintain vendor-wise product/order records and monitor vendor performance.
- Coordinate with vendors for product specifications, delivery timelines, quality-related requirements, and commercial discussions.
- Escalate delays or product shortages that may impact store sales.

Product Cost & Commercial Management

- Monitor product costs and procurement costs across jewellery categories.
- Analyse product costing, vendor pricing, and purchase rates.
- Support the management team in identifying cost-control and cost-optimization opportunities.
- Compare vendor quotations and support commercial negotiations.




- Monitor the impact of product cost on margins and overall product profitability.
- Work with Finance and Purchase teams to ensure product costing and related records are accurate.

Stock Control & Reporting

- Monitor stock ageing and ensure timely action on ageing jewellery inventory.
- Track stock received, issued, transferred, pending, and available.
- Coordinate regular stock reconciliation with Warehouse and Stores.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports covering:
- Store-wise stock
- Product availability
- Stock ageing
- Fast/slow-moving products
- Pending orders
- Vendor status
- Product transfers
- Inventory requirements
- Provide management with actionable insights on product availability and inventory performance.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in jewellery retail product/inventory operations.
- Robust knowledge of jewellery store operations and product movement.
- Good understanding of Gold, Diamond, Silver and/or Pearl jewellery categories.
- Strong Inventory Management and Supply Chain knowledge.
- Strong Vendor Management and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of product costing and commercial management.
- Strong analytical and Excel/MIS skills.
- Excellent coordination with Store, Sales, Purchase, Warehouse, Finance, and Vendor teams.
- Strong ownership, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
