About Wandering LamaWandering Lama is a Bengaluru-based curated nature stays and travel company, built on 6+ years of experience hosting 60,000+ guests. As we scale, we’re looking for a Sales Team Lead who can own numbers while building a high-performing team around them.

The RoleWe need a sales leader who leads from the front — someone who carries their own targets, closes deals hands-on and simultaneously coaches, motivates, and holds a team accountable to hit collective goals. Process & InitiativeTake initiative to identify what’s broken in the current sales process (lead routing, follow-up cadence, pricing objections) and fix it without being askedBuild and refine SOPs, scripts, and playbooks for homestay/nature stay sales and property onboarding (self-serve platform)Work closely with Marketing to improve lead quality and with Accounts on invoicing/payment follow-upsReport team and individual performance to leadership with clear numbers, not just narrative updates

Cross-Functional CollaborationCoordinate with property/operations teams to ensure sales promises match ground realityRepresent sales at leadership discussions on pricing, packaging, and new business lines

Qualifications3–6 years in sales, with at least 1–2 years leading a sales team (travel, hospitality or high-ticket B2C preferred)Proven track record of personally hitting/exceeding sales targets and managing teamComfortable being measured on both personal and team numbers simultaneouslyStrong ownership mindset — spots problems and fixes them without waiting for instructionsData-driven — comfortable with tracking conversion funnels, and reportingResilient under pressure; travel/hospitality sales cycles can be unpredictable (seasonality, last-minute changes)Willingness to travel occasionally for property visits, exhibitions or client meetingsExcellent communication and negotiation skills; fluent in English and Kannada is mandatory. Hindi is a plus

What We OfferOwnership of a critical growth function at a fast-scaling travel companyDirect access to founder/leadership — fast decision-making, no red tapePerformance-linked incentives on top of base compensationA young, close-knit team and a company built around real hospitality, not just bookings
