Role & Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Operations

Lead and manage all manufacturing operations across the production floor, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards and cost targets.

Develop detailed production plans aligned with project delivery timelines for fit-out, FF&E;, woodwork, panel processing and metal fabrication.

Drive capacity planning, shift scheduling and resource allocation to maximise throughput and minimise downtime.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

Establish and enforce quality control protocols at every stage of manufacturing from raw material inspection to final dispatch.

Maintain compliance with SMETA, FSC and DNB certification requirements and lead periodic internal and third-party audits.

Implement corrective and preventive action (CAPA) frameworks to address non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.

3. Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor and develop a large, multi-disciplinary production team including engineers, supervisors, craftsmen and technicians.

Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programmes covering carpentry, metal fabrication, surface finishing and lean manufacturing techniques.

4. Cost Control & Value Engineering

Monitor and control production budgets, labour costs and material wastage; report variances to senior management with corrective action plans.





Collaborate with the Design and Project Management teams during pre-production to identify value engineering opportunities without compromising quality.

5. Machinery, Maintenance & Safety

Oversee the upkeep, calibration and preventive maintenance of all machinery including CNC routers, edge banders, panel saws, welding equipment and spray booths.

Ensure implementation of safety management systems (SMS), EHS policies and workplace safety standards across the facility.

6. Project Coordination & Client Delivery

Work closely with the Project Management and Site teams to align factory output with in office installation schedules across pan-India projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Educational Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering, or Diploma in Wood Technology / Furniture Design from a recognized institution.

Experience

9 to 12 years of progressive experience in manufacturing / production management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role heading a large production facility.

Proven background in interior fit-out, FF&E; manufacturing, modular furniture, joinery or allied industries is mandatory.

Demonstrated experience managing high-volume, bespoke production in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
